If i would be flag running as a mesmer then i would take something like this:

14 illusion
10 fast cast
9 healing

res sig
distortion
contemplation of purity
healing breeze
illusion of weakness
illusion of haste
crippling anguish [E]
conjure phantasm

this build will keep you save from most types of harm and illusion of haste works great against crippling rangers if you are 1 vs 1 ing them

disortion against all types of melee COP against hexes and conditions
crippling anguish well to slow them down so you can run the flag ^^
conjure to cover up crippling anguish and together it gives some nice degen and makes them heal ....... and before they are done. you are gone
illusion of weakness if Healing Breeze just isnt enough.

this build is really nice for running and after that support your team in battle

Do not use superiors on runners. Other than that, look fine.

yeah I'd use something along those lines as well.

hey, what does everyone think about Shared Burden as an anti flag runner skill?

oh yea sry my mistake. it was suppose to be 14 illusion. stupid me xD

and hmm shard burden he? that sounds interesting.
but it has some downsides.
it lasts shorter, has a longer rechange and casting time. and it doesnt have -3 degen
also i dont know the range of shard burden that affects other players.

other than this, it would be handy to escape from larger groups that you cant handle alone
